I’m glad to tell you all that have just added first Anne candids (2009). They are quite recent (yesterday, January 1, 2009) having fun with some friends on a Santa Barba beach in Los Angeles, California. It seems Anne is also with her new b-friend, Adam Shulman. Anne is hoping to keep Christmas cheap this year (2008) - she’s refusing to buy anything that costs more than $50. The actress is researching inexpensive gifts so she doesn’t end up spending a fortune as she shops for her friends and family.

She explains,

“I’m doing a lot of research right now on cool gifts for under $50.”

And it won’t be the first time the thrifty star has cut back at Christmas.
She adds,

“One year, actually for Christmas, I made everyone ribbon board… I made it, except mine was terrible because I couldn’t find the bunting and so it didn’t actually work with any of the cards. So I just actually included a little bag of festive thumb tacks. I’m a willful crafter, but I’m kind of a C student when it comes to the crafts. So I think like, everyone else, I’m going to be making a lot of gifts. My family has a price cap on things and we always give money to charity, so I think we’re going to be focusing on that.”

Many brides-to-be may concentrate on choosing their wedding dress or planning their wedding photography, but Anne Hathaway’s interests seem to tend toward the music.

The actress, who is not currently engaged to be married but stars in Bride Wars, told Modern Bride magazine that she is “not the sort of girl who dreams about her wedding.”

However, the 26-year-old did admit that hearing certain songs makes her want to add them to her wedding planning list for the future. These include Maps by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Walken by Wilco and You are the Best Thing by Ray LaMontagne.

“I haven’t thought about the food, I haven’t thought about the look, I haven’t thought about my dress, I haven’t thought about the guy,” she told the publication.

“But every once in a while, I’ll listen to a song and I’m like, ‘I want that at my wedding!”

Hathaway also suggested to prospective brides that looking good in the wedding photography is not the point of getting married, telling them to relax and feel comfortable instead of striving for perfection.
